Area 4

Looking for Night missions for Area 4? Click [Here].

Once your Echelon reaches 4x links, Area 4 is actually easier to earn S ranks than Area 3. The reason: there are more enemy units and more turns given to accomplish the goal.

However the power creep for bosses dramatically increases from Area 4, so it would be a mistake to underestimate the missions. As mentioned in every post, if you lose T-doll or retreat you cannot earn S rank. It is key to utilize kiting and in-battle retreating to micro manage your tanker’s health. So to minimize this chance this walk-through avoids boss fight on this area.

As utilized in Area 3, using friend’s echelon and dummy echelon to swap and resupply main echelon will be used frequently. Also there will be situations where main echelon will be taking on 5 battles in a row before taking enemy HQ. Strengthening your echelon is recommended before attempting these walk-through.

Want to save your resources and quick-repair? Come back after you raise your echelons to least 70+ lvl and 4x links.

It is important to be flexible in mission due to Girls Frontline does not have fixed enemy movements. So adopt accordingly.I am using pictures with Korean language on them, anything on it will be translated on the bottom of the picture. Red numbers indicates movements. Number on top left of the picture indicated what turn it is in.

I would like to thank Redin at Inven.co.kr with the image. Without it I would have to spend hours capturing new images.

Set up 2 echelons in HQ and bottom Helipad.

Turn 1~2: Relatively simple instructions, follow numbers and fill 6 kills before taking HQ.

  • 4-2

S-Rank condition: Kill 5 unit in 3 turns; control enemy HQ.
Required Squads: 2 (+6,000 & +5,000 recommended)

Map View

Turn 1: move Echelon 1 to top right, call echelon 2, end turn.

Turn 2: move as shown.

Turn 3: if you don’t have 5 kills, use echelon 2 to kill extra units before taking HQ.

  • 4-3

S-Rank condition: Kill 9 unit in 5 turns; control enemy HQ.
Required Squads: 2 (+6,500 & +5,500 recommended)

Map View

Start with main echelon on HQ and 2nd echelon on helipad up north.

**Remember to resupply if you disabled auto-resupply.**

This map is where you can freely move around in turn 3~5 to fill 9 kill requirement.

Turn 1( move 1~4)

Turn 2 ( move 5~9)

  • 4-4

S-Rank condition: Kill 10 unit in 6 turns; control enemy HQ.
Required Squads: 2 (+6,500 & +6,000 recommended) + 1 Friend Echelon.

Map View

Relatively simple start and turn 1.

Turn 2: Call Friend echelon on helipad that’s about to be surrounded and put it on HQ. Then follow direction. This is to capture the enemy helipad that is surrounded by enemy panels. as well as save ally helipad. Make sure Echelon kills the unit that Friend echelon will be moving to.

Turn 3~5: meet 10 kill requirement before taking HQ.

  • 4-5

S-Rank condition: Kill 8 unit in 4 turns; control enemy HQ.
Required Squads: 2 (+7,000 & +6,500 recommended)

Map View

Again this is the map that doesn’t require all turns to get S rank. If you are confident with your ability to kite and manage tanker’s health, 2 turns is all it takes. If not, utilize Friend echelon to hold HQ while dividing kills between 2 echelon instead of 1.

  • 4-6

S-Rank condition: Kill 12 unit in 8 turns; control enemy HQ.
Required Squads: 2 (+7,500 & +6,500 recommended)

Map View

This map is where you don’t have to kill the boss. After following direction for first 2 turns, use rest of 5 turns given to meet the kill requirements and surround the enemy HQ to avoid fighting boss. Again don’t forget to resupply from helipads when auto supply is off.

Emergency Difficulty

  • 4-1E

S-Rank condition: Kill 9 unit in 4 turns; control enemy HQ.
Required Squads: 1 (+7,000 recommended) + 1 Dummy echelon

Map View

This is the map where you will be putting your kiting skills to the test by putting all 9 kills on single echelon. If you are well off ( having 2 echelon with 4x links), then I recommend using same strategy as 4-3.

**Turn 2: Make sure you resupply before ending turn.**

  • 4-2E

S-Rank condition: Kill 10 unit in 5 turns; control enemy HQ.
Required Squads: 2 (+7,500 & +6,500 recommended) + 1 Friend Echelon

Map View

Again, not too much different from normal map version. Make sure to use Friend Echelon on Turn 2 to resupply and swap back to fight enemy unit that spawns from the helipad.

  • 4-3E

S-Rank condition: Kill 8 unit in 4 turns; control enemy HQ.
Required Squads: 2 (+8,000 & +7,000 recommended)

Map View

Again very similar strategy from normal version of the map. Make sure you pay attention so that ally HQ is not surrounded and taken if it takes longer than 2 turns. Since there are more enemies than required, feel free to use Friend Echelon to secure base.

  • 4-4E

S-Rank condition: Kill 12 unit in 7 turns; control enemy HQ.
Required Squads: 2 (+5,500 & +4,500 recommended) + 1 Dummy Ech. + 1 Friend Ech.

Map View

This one is bit complicated.

Turn 1: move echelon on top helipad 2 space down to take helipad. Move up HQ echelon and spawn dummy echelon.

Turn 2: Move top echelon up 2 spaces as shown (5~6) then spawn Friend Echelon on mid helipad. HQ Echelon then move along the path (7~10) then swap with Friend Echelon to resupply.

Turn 3~5: Fill 12 kill requirement and surround enemy HQ to avoid boss fight and still earn S rank.
